Inspiration: Athropologie

We love Anthropologie!! On our recent trip to Edinburgh we took some snaps of their spring displays.Those guys are so good! The way they mix and put stuff together is so different and the amount of props they use is unbelievable. I wish we could do it at Serendipity but unfortunately our store is too tiny. Still, I watch and learn...(and guess what...they have some pom poms in the store as well! I'm so proud of myself!)

How delicious! I think this interior is fabulous, so different and practically impossible to recreate at home, with all the colourful clutter that we collect, nevertheless- a feast to the eye!

Colour and new cards

It was always very white, beige and brown in our house. It made it look clean and fresh, and gave it a bit of a Scandinavian feel, and that's the way we liked it. I just didn't care about colour too much, apart from some seasonal red and gold at Christmas or green and yellow at Easter. Anyway, since Frankie started his reign in this house, it all changed quite dramatically. There is red, green, blue, orange and yellow everywhere. It's like the house is a giant rainbow! And guess what?? We love it!

Pom poms at Serendipity

As I promised, here are some snapshots of pom poms we currently have at Serendipity.

Handmade pom poms

I made these pom poms to decorate Frankie's bedroom the other week. I'm really pleased with the way they turned out. So pleased, that I made some more for the shop.
They are made of tissue paper, but you could make them of some pretty fabric too. The first one is a bit tricky, especially if your tissue is quite fine and tears easily, but after that, you will become a pro, so don't give up!  I got my instructions from the web, there are plenty of them, so just choose the one that works for you and go for it!! I will post some photos of the pom poms from the shop tomorrow.

The branch was picked up in a local park and then sprayed white and cleverly attached to the wall by my hubby. If I open the window the pom poms start to twirl slowly and Frankie loves watching them. Oh so pretty!!

Spring Jellycat

All the kids get so excited when Spring Jellycats arrive. We have ducks, lambs, hens, roosters and bunnies galore, Olive Owl is back as well! Just like last year, we will be having a Jellycat Day at the store in a couple of weeks, with great promotions and loads of free goodies. You have to be there!
